Mohammad Mamun Mia was born on 28 August, 1978 in the village of Char Kamar Bhanga of Betgair Union under Nandail upazila in Mymensingh district. He obtained MA degree in English Literature in 2000 from Government Anandamohan College, with BA (Hons) in English. Jobs started in 2001 by joining government primary school. In 2004, he joined National Ideal School, Dhaka as an assistant English teacher.

He studied the Master of Education at the Institute of Education and Research in Dhaka University (IER).

He is the founder director of Mohanagar Ideal School and College, and is currently working as the Principal (Acting) of Mohanagar Ideal College, 44 North Mugdepara, Dhaka.

He writes poetry in both Bengali and English. The poems written at different times are published in various English and Bengali national dailies. Published books of poetry: Nari, Dosh Dristir Somonnoy, Tomar Choya Pete.
