মোহাম্মদ আল-মাসুম মোল্লা। জন্ম: ১৯৮৩ সালে নরসিংদীর ঘোড়াশালে। বাবার চাকরিসূত্রে শৈশব ও কৈশোর কেটেছে হবিগঞ্জের এক নিঝুম গ্রামে। একদিকে চা এবং রাবার বাগান। পূর্বে রঘুনন্দন পাহাড়, পশ্চিমে দিগন্তজোড়া ধানখেত। স্বভাবতই প্রকৃতির সঙ্গে গভীর ভাব। সাংবাদিকতায় পড়াশোনা, সেই আঙিনাতেই কর্মজীবনের পুরোটা। ডেইলি সান থেকে ঢাকা ট্রিবিউন হয়ে বর্তমানে দ্য ডেইলি স্টারে কর্মরত। অনুসন্ধানী প্রতিবেদনের পাশাপাশি সমসাময়িক বিভিন্ন বিষয়ে কলাম লেখেন। কাজের সূত্রে ঘুরেছেন বহু দেশ—ভারত, নেপাল, থাইল্যান্ড, দক্ষিণ কোরিয়া, তুরস্ক, মালি, দক্ষিণ সুদান, ইথিওপিয়া, ডিআর কঙ্গো, উগান্ডা ও সুইডেন। অবসর কাটে গান শুনে, বই পড়ে ও ছড়া লিখে। স্ত্রী সৈয়দা তাসমিন আফরোজ টুম্পা, সম্প্রচার সাংবাদিক। আর সবচেয়ে প্রিয় সঙ্গী একমাত্র কন্যা আয়ুশি তরুণিমা। রাজনীতি ও সমাজ নিয়ে ভিন্নধর্মী একটা ছড়ার বই লিখেছেন, ‘আপত্তি সত্ত্বেও’।
