Summary Of The Book
Vampire Academy: Last Sacrifice is the sixth and last book of the Vampire Academy series. Rosemarie Hathaway, commonly called Rose is the protagonist, who is a seventeen-year-old half-vampire and half-human. She belongs to the Dhampirs race that are responsible for taking care of one of the vampires races, the Moroi. Rose is facing a trail for the murder of Tatiana, the Queen of Moroi. Though she is being framed, proving that seems impossible and the punishment for it is execution. Princess Vasilisa Dragomir, called Lissa, is Rose’s best friend and is now elected as a candidate for becoming the next Queen.
Dimitri, Rose’s ex-boyfriend, and her friends Mikhail, Eddie, Adrian and Abe try to break her out of prison. Rose learns that in order for Lissa to become the next heir of the throne, as per Moroi laws, she must have at least one living relative. The search to find Lissa’s half sister Sonya Karp begins. Vampire Academy: Last Sacrifice is a combination of elements of love, mystery, jealousy, murder and thrills. The two best friends find that they now need to put faith in their enemies and question those who they have always trusted. As Rose fights to prove her innocence and to stay alive, she must also continue her search for Lissa’s illegitimate sibling so that Lissa can become the Queen.

Richelle Mead, born in 1976, is an American author, and was a 8th grade teacher.
Mead enjoys writing fantasy novels. Her first book, Succubus Blues, was published in 2007 and became a part of her six-novel series Georgina Kincaid. Her Vampire Academy series includes Vampire Academy, Frostbite, Shadow Kiss, Blood Promise, Spirit Bound and Last Sacrifice. Currently the series is being adapted into a film and a graphic novel was published in 2011.
She graduated with a Bachelor of General Studies from the University of Michigan, a Master of Comparative Religion from Western Michigan University, and a Master of Teaching from the University of Washington. She was the winner of the 2010 Goodreads Choice Awards Author. Mead enjoys travelling, watching television, drinking coffee and shopping for dresses.
