ফরিদুর রেজা সাগর শিশু সাহিত্যে বাংলা একাডেমী পুরস্কারপ্রাপ্ত লেখক ফরিদুর রেজা সাগরের জন্ম ২২ ফেব্রুয়ারি ১৯৫৫ । মা প্ৰখ্যাত কথাসাহিত্যিক রাবেয়া খাতুন। বাবা বাংলাদেশের প্রথম চলচ্চিত্ৰবিষয়ক পত্রিকা সিনেমা’র সম্পাদক এবং এদেশের প্রথম শিশুচলচ্চিত্র ‘প্রেসিডেন্ট” এর নির্মাতা ফজলুল হক । ‘প্রেসিডেন্ট’ ছবিতে মূল ভূমিকায় অভিনয় করেছিলেন ফরিদুর রেজা সাগর। শিশুসাহিত্যিক হিসেবে ফরিদুর রেজা সাগরের খ্যাতি দু'দশক ধরে। ছোটবেলা থেকে কেন্দ্রীয় কচিকাঁচার মেলা, চাঁদের হাট এবং বাংলাদেশ টেলিভিশনের জন্মলগ্ন থেকেই তিনি শিশুকিশোর উপযোগী বিভিন্ন অনুষ্ঠানের সঙ্গে জড়িত। বর্তমানে তিনি ইমপ্রেস গ্রুপের পরিচালক। এক সময় তিনি বাংলাদেশ উন্মুক্ত বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সাথেও যুক্ত ছিলেন। এখনও পত্রপত্রিকায় তিনি নিয়মিত বিভিন্ন বিষয় নিয়ে লিখে থাকেন। তিনি ছোটদের পত্রিকা ‘টইটুম্বর’এর পরিচালনা পর্ষদের সদস্য। শিশুসাহিত্যে বিশেষ অবদানের জন্য তিনি বাংলা একাডেমী পুরস্কারসহ পেয়েছেন শিশু একাডেমীর অগ্রণী ব্যাংক শিশুসাহিত্য পুরস্কার এবং ইউরো শিশুসাহিত্য পুরস্কার ২০০৫। এছাড়াও পেয়েছেন বাংলাদেশ চলচ্চিত্ৰ সাংবাদিক সমিতি পুরস্কার (বাচসাস), কালচারাল রিপোর্টার্স এ্যাওয়ার্ড, জাতীয় চলচ্চিত্র পুরস্কার (২০০২) সহ জাতীয় পর্যায়ে আরো অনেক পুরস্কার।
