Motaher Hussain had great exposure to trade & development issues during his diplomatic assignment in Geneva, Switzerland. On return home, he intended to share his knowledge & experience gained abroad. In the book the author endeavors to take a look at his previous engagements. Sometimes he spoke on trade & development issues at home or abroad. Sometimes he or his colleagues intervened on trade and development topics at the meetings of WTO, UNCTAD, ITC etc as a delegate of Bangladesh. These meetings were held in formal or informal settings.
